Since 1875, the Fraternity & Sorority Life community at Nebraska has fostered leadership, service, and lifelong friendships, leaving a legacy of excellence on campus and beyond. 

This milestone honors generations of students who have shaped our traditions and continue to inspire the future.

    Phi Delta Theta

    First IFC fraternity

  2. 1884

    Kappa Kappa Gamma

    First PHA chapter

  3. 1905

    Interfraternity Council (IFC) is established

  4. 1906

    Panhellenic Association (PHA) is established

  5. 1916

    Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

    First NPHC chapter

  6. 1917

    First facility built on campus, for Phi Kappa Psi

  7. 1978

    Jane Wade Anderson is hired as the first director of Greek Life (a precursor of today's Fraternity & Sorority Life)

  8. 1998

    Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.

    First MGC chapter

  9. April 19, 2003

    National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is established 

  10. December 4, 2003

    Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is established
